{"id":4463,"date":"2025-03-19T16:27:13","date_gmt":"2025-03-19T16:27:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ea3affd7216562748ff1dc1f0fe50ac6\/?p=4463"},"modified":"2025-03-27T09:32:57","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T09:32:57","slug":"114m-annual-investment-in-pay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.jlpjobs.com\/blog\/114m-annual-investment-in-pay\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00a3114m annual investment in pay"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"b__text__block l__space white\" id=\"block-1-text-block\">\n\t\t<div class=\"l__container\">\n\t\t<ul>\n<li>\u00a3114m increase in pay for 2025 on top of \u00a3116m increase in 2024 &#8211; reaching \u00a3230m over two years<\/li>\n<li>JLP will raise the rate of pay for shop Partners by 7.4% this year<\/li>\n<li>Partners who make an exceptional contribution to the Partnership will receive an additional 2% &#8211; taking potential increases to 9.4%<\/li>\n<li>99.3% of all Partners will receive a pay increase<\/li>\n<li>Over the past three years the Partnership has increased total pay by \u00a3295m<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The John Lewis Partnership has today announced a \u00a3114m investment in pay for 65,000 Partners across the business this year.<\/p>\n<p>Seventy-seven per cent (\u00a388m) of the pay investment is voluntary and is beyond the requirements of the National Minimum Wage.<\/p>\n<p>From 1 April, the minimum rate of pay for Partners outside London will increase from \u00a311.55 to \u00a312.40 an hour and from \u00a312.89 to \u00a313.85 for Partners within the M25.<\/p>\n<p>Over the last three years John Lewis Partnership has invested a total of \u00a3295m in Partner pay\u00a0 and the standard hourly rate for Partners in our shops has risen by 25 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Rates of pay increase to \u00a313.39 per hour for those Partners who gain enhanced skills and take on specialist roles in our shops, rising to \u00a314.96 inside the M25.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside this, Partners who have contributed \u2018exceptionally\u2019 to the business will earn additional pay on top of the standard pay increase. This means a customer-facing Partner could receive a pay increase of 9.4%.<\/p>\n<p>The investment in pay comes on top of a distinctive and generous benefits package, which includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>25% off most purchases in John Lewis and 20% off purchases at Waitrose<\/li>\n<li>A competitive pension scheme with the Partnership contributing up to 12% of pay<\/li>\n<li>Life assurance scheme, up to four times annual pay<\/li>\n<li>Equal parenthood leave<\/li>\n<li>Generous annual holiday allowance<\/li>\n<li>Wide-ranging wellbeing offer<\/li>\n<li>Subsidised holidays in the Partnership\u2019s hotels<\/li>\n<li>\u00a360 a year towards the cost of event tickets such as concerts and festivals and \u00a3250 a year to help towards learning a new skill or exploring an interest<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Jo Rackham, Interim Executive Director, People, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Partners are co-owners of our business and their service to our customers is what sets us apart, so we have chosen to make another very significant investment in Partner pay this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis signals our continued commitment to our Partners\u2019 pay, taking our total investment over the last three years to \u00a3295m.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Over the past three years the Partnership has increased total pay by \u00a3295m.","protected":false},"author":16,"featured_media":4464,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"4447,3962,3852,3858,3860,2439","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[354],"tags":[365,366,389,390,391],"class_list":["post-4463","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-partnership-news","tag-waitrose","tag-john-lewis","tag-business","tag-pay","tag-partners"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.7 -
