I\u2019m also a People Manager and a Partnership Coach who supports others in their development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I started at John Lewis 24-years ago as a stock keeper and I have had so many brilliant roles and opportunities over the years.\u00a0 I\u2019ve worked in HR (People as we call it), Selling, Operations, Central Retail, Democratic Vitality and Customer Care to name a few.\u00a0 I\u2019ve had the opportunity to work in different shops right across the country and even supported the opening of several stores.\u00a0 I\u2019ve worked for some inspirational leaders who have helped me to drive my development and built friendships for life.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"b__text__block l__space white\" id=\"block-2-text-block\">\n\t\t<div class=\"l__container\">\n\t\t<h2>Democratic Vitality<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You might be wondering what \u2018Democratic Vitality\u2019 is.\u00a0 Its part of our purpose and it&#8217;s how we share knowledge and power with Partners and, crucially, listen to their opinion and make sure it shapes and influences the Partnership through both our formal democracy and in every day conversations across the business.\u00a0 It\u2019s what we mean when we say we\u2019re co-owned.\u00a0 My role is to make sure Partners feel safe and supported in sharing their honest opinions and suggestions and that our senior leaders know what Partners are talking about.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"b__text__block l__space white\" id=\"block-3-text-block\">\n\t\t<div class=\"l__container\">\n\t\t<h2>Partnership Benefits<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We have such brilliant benefits that I\u2019ve used such as ticket subsidy (money off concerts for example) or leisure learning (money off taking an art class\u2026.but I\u2019m still no good) but being a Partner isn\u2019t just about what you get, it&#8217;s about what you give.\u00a0 You\u2019re a co-owner and you\u2019re encouraged and supported to think about ways the business can improve and do better whether that\u2019s for our customers, our Partners and\/or our communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"b__text__block l__space white\" id=\"block-4-text-block\">\n\t\t<div class=\"l__container\">\n\t\t<h2>Why the Partnership?<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Being a People Manager is a big responsibility and a huge privilege.
